"In
the lineage of those who originated and/or perpetuated New
Orleans style piano playing there are greats like Tuts Washington,
Professor Longhair, James Booker, Dr. John, Allen Toussaint,
Henry Butler, Davell Crawford and then there is Jon Cleary.
Unlike the rest, he's not from the city nor even from this
country – he was born in England. Through listening,
studying, absorbing and loving the style, Cleary got it – has
it." Click

We
were sad to hear the news today that the great singer/guitarist,
and New Orleans legend, Mr. Fird "Snooks" Eaglin,
Jr., passed away today at the age of 73. Jon
was fortunate to share the stage over the past 25 years
with Mr. Eaglin backing him at the New Orleans Jazz Festival
and local venues like Mid-city Rock-n-Bowl. He was truly
a unique and soulful musician, with a special spirit
that could light up any stage. Check out recordings by
the great Snooks Eaglin on Black Top Records including
Teasin You, Out of Nowhere, his session work on The Wild
Magnolias first album, Professor Longhair's House Party
album, and many others. For more info see NOLA.com

the fourth track, "Just Kissed My Baby," approximately
65 times in a row and the first track, "Sometimes I Wonder," approximately
